Yanfang Xia | Post doc

Yanfang graduated from Zhejiang University, China, in 2016 with a Bachelor of Medicine in Basic Medical Sciences. She obtained a Master of Science in Neuroscience from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, Switzerland, in 2018. At the beginning of 2019, she started her PhD education at the University of Zürich. During her PhD, she investigated pharmacological inhibition of synaptic consolidation of human aversive memory using psychophysiological measures.

In 2023, Yanfang joined the Motivation & Cognitive Control lab as a postdoc. Her current research focuses on the role of dopamine and serotonin in controllability under stress using fMRI, behavioural and psychophysiological measures, and computational modelling. Her work is part of the ERC ChemControl project.
