Jael Reij | TRAINEE

I graduated in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Radboud University, with a specialization in brain and cognition. For my bachelor’s thesis, under the supervision of Lennart Verhagen, I investigated inhibitory control and the extent to which flexibility in inhibitory processes can be learned. Specifically, I examined Pavlovian biases using an orthogonalized Go/No-Go task and reversal learning.

I am currently enrolled in the Cognitive Neuroscience master’s program at Radboud University. For my master’s thesis, I am helping Marwan with the Neuromodulation of Control Beliefs project. My work focuses on the effects of transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) on controllability estimates during decision-making. Overall, my research interests center on the cognitive and neural mechanisms of control, learning, and decision-making and translating this line of research to real-world applications.
