Lieneke Janssen | Alumnus
Lieneke Janssen completed an undergraduate degree in psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam and the cognitive neuroscience research master at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. As a research assistant, she studied the links between brain dopamine and gambling behavior. Lieneke completed her PhD at the Donders Institute, her PhD focused on 'Breaking bad habits', by investigating the effects of pharmacological and behavioral interventions on frontostriatal processing. Since 2017, Lieneke is working as a postdoctoral researcher at Leipzig University and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, where she studies the role of dopamine in obesity in the JRG Decision-Making in Obesity lab led by dr. Annette Horstmann.
