Jessica Määttä obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Consciousness studies, a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Skövde (Sweden) and a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University, Nijmegen. As part of the Cognitive Neuroscience Research Master at Donders Institute, she completed an internship with Hanneke den Ouden and Jennifer Swart (2015). The study aimed to disentangle the nature of motivational biases on instrumental goal-directed behavior and how we overcome these biases. Between 2016-2021 Jessica worked as a research coordinator in the motivational and cognitive control lab. Her main responsibility was to coordinate a pharmaco-fMRI, PET project focusing on the role of dopaminergic drugs on brain and cognition, and to support the lab with project and data management. In 2021, Jessica started working as a lab manager at the Karolinska Institute (Sweden, Stockholm).
